tutorial videos 1

Adult swim characters are usually very quirky and fun to look at and I love watching behind the scenes of my favorite shows, especially during the phase where they start creating the characters.  I've recently been watching a lot of videos by BAM animation and I find this video really helpful and entertaining if your want to improve your character designs. It really shows the immense thought they put into creating characters that fit the standard to be made into a show.

Just wanted to upload a better resolution of my works.

FTA121 Basic shapes (final piece)

In the end, I chose seven characters for my assignment. I really wish I could have colored them a bit to give them a bit more depth, maybe just a little shading here and there, but I guess I'll do that next time. I do think it's kind of funny that some of the characters seem to clash with each other because I drew them in different canvases and used different font sizes.

This is our first assignment for Character Design class. We had to use basic shapes to create three different characters but we were free to draw more if we liked so with that I managed a few.
