Adult swim characters are usually very quirky and fun to look at and I love watching behind the scenes of my favorite shows, especially during the phase where they start creating the characters.
I've recently been watching a lot of videos by BAM animation and I find this video really helpful and entertaining if your want to improve your character designs. It really shows the immense thought they put into creating characters that fit the standard to be made into a show.
